I currently breed long and smooth coated dachshunds.
It is a common misconception that long hair dachshunds require a lot of grooming. All is needed is a quick run through with a comb once or twice a week, especially behind the ears.
Why Males Make Better Pets
People seem to always ask for a cute female puppy, often overlooking an absolutely amazing boy!!
*Males make fantastic pets. When they are neutered around 5-6 months old, they will not "mark" like intact males do (this seems to be what most people fear).
*Male dogs tend to want to please their owners, therefore they listen very well.
*Since they are more laid back than females, training of any kind is easier!
*Males are also cheaper to have neutered because it is a less invasive procedure than spaying a female.
When looking for the perfect 4-legged addition to your family, please don't overlook the males ~ they are just waiting to be your perfect pet!
